Suspect arrested after attempted robbery of LLL Reptile

A male suspect was taken into custody after an attempted robbery of a business on Antelope Road in Menifee Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The incident occurred about 3:15 p.m. in a business in the 30000 block of Antelope Road near Newport Road, according to Sheriff's Deputy Mike Vasquez. The business has been identified by witnesses as LLL Reptile & Supply. According to Vasquez, the suspect was confronted by an employee in a physical altercation and the suspect was taken to the ground.

A woman claiming to be a relative of the employee told Menifee 24/7 a customer inside the store helped detain the suspect until police arrived. No other details were available Tuesday night.
