Bring on Ventura one more time.
The Paloma Valley High School girls soccer team marched straight into the CIF Southern California Regional final Thursday with a 4-0 victory over Westminster. The Wildcats will be at home again Saturday at 4 p.m. against Ventura, the team they beat 1-0 in the CIF Southern Section finals last Saturday.
Since that hard-fought victory almost a week ago, Paloma Valley has breezed to a 10-0 win over Mater Dei Catholic on Tuesday and the victory over Westminster, which is the team's 16th straight shutout. The Wildcats haven't lost all season, improving their record to 26-0-3 with the victory.
The Wildcats are seeded No.1 in the regionals and were guaranteed home games throughout the tournament. Ventura (19-5-3) advanced to the rematch with Paloma Valley with wins over West Adams, 12-0, and South Pasadena, 3-0.
