Five Boy Scouts from local troops will be awarded their Eagle Scout awards at a Court of Honor Saturday.
The event will begin at 2 p.m. at the LDS Church at 28150 La Piedra Road. Each scout had to organize and execute a community service project, earn a number of merit badges, serve in leadership positions and live the values listed in the Boy Scout Oath and Promise.
The five new Eagle Scouts are:
-- Landon Lomenick, who refurbished a memorial for fallen CHP officers.
-- Isaac Heiner, who built benches and planters for the Menifee Antelope Rural Center.
-- Ben Graves, who mulched planters at Audie Murphy Ranch Sports Park.
-- Ian Smith, who collected worn U.S. flags for the American Legion.
-- Spencer Clark, who installed "little libraries" at several locations around the city.
