After a lengthy narcotic investigation, a Meadowbrook couple accused of distributing methamphetamine in Menifee were arrested on multiple drug charges.
Sheriff's Department officers conducted a probation search at a residence Tuesday in the 20000 block of Walnut Street in Meadowbrook. The search revealed over 1 1/2 pounds of methamphetamine, 4 pounds of marijuana, 35 rams of psilocybin mushrooms, and 11 grams of cocaine. David Heinz, 61, and Amanda Showalter, 30, were arrested for possession of illegal drugs with the intent to distribute.
One of the criminal acts discovered in the investigation was the alleged distribution of large quantities of methamphetamine in Menifee. Both suspects were booked at the Cois M. Byrd Detention Center. Bail was set at $150,000 for Heinz and $30,000 for Showalter.
