The Menifee Valley Community Cupboard helps hundreds of families in the Menifee area. It provides essentials for many families.
Two weeks ago, Santa Rosa Academy held a three-day food drive to help contribute to this organization. With a goal of filling up a van, they worked to collect needed items such as canned fruit, toothpaste, peanut butter, and soup.
"Each month our school (Santa Rosa Academy) focuses on a particular character trait," said Santa Rosa teacher Tricia Aspengren. "For January, it was ‘Thoroughness.’ The character committee decided to put thoroughness into action by helping the Menifee Community Cupboard thoroughly fill up its shelves after the holidays. We wanted to support our tight-knit community thoroughly and I believe we accomplished our goal!"
