Local charter school Santa Rosa Academy held its annual STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Expo on Thursday. This is an opportunity for students and teachers to portray their talents and interests, usually in the form of projects and other creations. SRA devotes a full day to the fair, during which students and teachers come together to display different creations and ideas.
The STEM Expo intends to unite students to create an environment that showcases the main subjects. Past STEM Fairs have exposed students to professionals, such as colleges and potential employers. This is an excellent opportunity for both the creators and the attendees, as both have a chance to benefit.
The entire nature of the fair provides students with the privilege of showing off their talents and expertise. Many students complimented the previous projects and displays, often saying they were impressed by the creativity of the creators.
The STEM Expo included projects such as moldable goo, destructible 3D DNA diagrams, and other unique projects.
