Public hearing to address plan for senior living facility

A public hearing will be held Feb. 14 at City Hall when the Menifee Planning Commission considers a plan to build a senior living facility in the city.

The Gallery Senior Living facility is proposed as a gated 118-unit assisted living facility on 4.9 acres located on the east side of Antelope Road and immediately north of Aldergate Drive. This parcel of land is adjacent to the front entrance to the Oasis senior community, just east of the 215 Freeway.

The facility would include a three-story building with two interior courtyards. It would have 88 units of assisted living and 30 units of memory care. Access to the site would be by the main driveway at Antelope Road. A total of 87 parking stalls would be included.

The City of Menifee Community Development Department has determined that the project will not have a significant effect on the environment and has recommended adoption of an Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration. That document is available for public review at City Hall, 29714 Haun Road, through Feb. 14. The Planning Commission meeting that night will begin at 7 p.m.
