Paloma Valley High School Athlete of the Week: Feb. 15

Menifee 24/7 honors area high school athletes for their accomplishments. Coaches of each sport are invited to submit one athlete per week for recognition. This week there is just one honoree selected from Paloma Valley High School.

Senior water polo player Tanya Lopez has performed well all season in helping lead the team into the CIF playoffs for the first time. "She has been battling a back injury, but is getting healthy at the perfect time," said coach Joe Ellett. "Last week, she scored two goals against Lakeside, made great passes, and had several huge defensive plays. Tanya is tiny, but mighty: that's why we call her 'Feisty'."
