Heritage High School Athlete of the Week: Feb. 15

Menifee 24/7 honors area high school athletes for their accomplishments. Coaches of each sport are invited to submit one athlete per week for recognition. This week there is just one honoree selected from Heritage High School.

Goalkeeper Alyssa Newsom made many big saves to keep the game close against first-place Paloma Valley in a girls soccer game last week. She has 11 shutouts on the season "and helps keep Heritage in every game," said coach Michael Mattison.
