Suspects escape with cash in armed robbery of Carl's Jr.

Police are asking for the public's help in providing information about an armed robbery of the Carl's Jr. fast food restaurant at Newport Road and Murrieta Road Sunday night.

Sheriff's deputies responded just after 10:15 p.m. to the report of a robbery at a local business at that location. It has been identified by residents in the area as the Carl's Jr. on the northeast corner of Newport Road and Murrieta Road.

Officers confirmed that the business was robbed at gunpoint by two males who fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. No employees were injured. The race and approximate age of the suspects is unknown. A limited description of the suspects is as follows:

Suspect 1: Approximately 5-foot-7, thin build, wearing a red sweater with hood and black bandana.

Suspect 2: Thin build, wearing a dark sweater with hood, bandana and dark colored backpack.
