Authorities will seek felony DUI charges against a Menifee man accused of driving his car head-on into another vehicle Sunday night in Perris, according to a Sheriff's Department news release.
Turbie Williams, 58, is undergoing treatment at a local hospital. According to police, his blue Lincoln sedan collided head-on with a tan Toyota Corolla about 6:18 p.m. Sunday in the 3500 block of Goetz Road. Officers were directed to the area by a citizen who reported the Lincoln had been driving erratically.
Williams, who is suspected of driving under the influence, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Toyota sustained major, but non-life-threatening, injuries and also was transported to a local hospital.
Goetz Road was closed for two hours. Anyone with information on this case is encouraged to call Deputy Cail at the Perris Sheriff’s Station, 951-210-1000.
