Members of the Menifee Special Enforcement Team conducted the traffic enforcement stop about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Augusta Road and Sun City Boulevard, according to a news release. Joseph Quintana, 36, was found in possession of a loaded handgun and over 7 grams of methamphetamine.
Quintana was booked at the Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Officer B. Frank at the Perris Sheriff Station at 951-210-1125, or by email at PerrisStation@RiversideSheriff.org
If the sheriff's department wants to make more drug arrests all they need to do is check the adult males hanging out at the Jack in the Box at Newport and Antelope. They can usually be found all hours of the day or night next to their bicycles at the southwest corner of the building. I can't believe management tolerates it because I would bet it keeps away a lot of business. I don't go to that area daily, but I'd swear there are extremely shady characters hanging out most times I am there.
