United Church of Christ to serve free Christmas meal

Menifee United Church of Christ will serve a free Christmas dinner to those in need Dec. 25 from noon to 2 p.m., Rev. Bill Freeman announced today.

" ’Tis the season to reach out to others," Freeman said. "Our congregation wants to do just that."

As many as 90 people have been served by the church at this event in the past, Freeman said. This has been possible through donations of turkeys, ham and other items. Vegetables will be donated by the Menifee Community Cupboard, Freeman said.
