Menifee United Church of Christ Christmas meal a success

Menifee United Church of Christ served 75 free dinners on Christmas Day to people in need, the elderly and to those who would otherwise be alone on the holiday.

"We want to thank the people who came for a free meal," said Rev. Bill Freeman, senior minister of Menifee UCC. "And we want to thank those who volunteered today. We couldn’t have done it without them."

Volunteers brought food -- turkeys, ham, and all the trimmings -- and they helped serve and cleaned up afterwards, Freeman said. Menifee United Church of Christ, located at 26701 McCall Blvd. in Menifee, conducts worship services Sundays at 11 a.m.
