Chance Nolan passed for 385 yards and 5 touchdowns Friday night to lead the Paloma Valley High School football team to a 49-8 victory over San Jacinto Friday night in the first round of the CIF Division 5 playoffs.
The Wildcats broke the game open with a 35-point second quarter for a 42-0 halftime lead and cruised to the win, improving their overall record to 9-2. Paloma plays Yucaipa next week in the second round.
Nolan also ran for a touchdown for Paloma Valley before turning the game over to the second string early in the second half. Three of his touchdown passes went to Koale Schroeder. Nolan also ran for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, the defense allowed only a touchdown in the third quarter.
