Sheriff's deputies conducting what was referred to as a "proactive saturation patrol" Oct. 25 arrested and booked 14 individuals with outstanding warrants or stolen property, authorities said.
Officers assigned to the Menifee Special Enforcement Team conducted the patrol around retail businesses throughout Menifee. Such patrols can be the result of recent complaints of criminal activity in a particular area, higher number of service calls in an area or police awareness of areas in need of extra patrol, according to a Sheriff's Department spokesperson. This allows officers to interact with the community and business owners as well.
Ten male adults and four female adults were arrested and booked at the Cois Byrd Detention Center, including eight from Menifee, on the following charges:
William Barger, 33, of Mead Valley – felony warrant
Alexander Baumberger, 51, of Lake Matthews – felon in possession of pepper spray
Alfredo Omar Cantu, 31, of Pico Rivera – felony warrant
Jacob Matthew Gomez, 30, of Hemet – felony warrant
Wendy Gregory, 47, of Menifee – misdemeanor warrant
Samuel Mendoza, 23, of Perris – felony warrant
Tanya Monton, 41, of Menifee – misdemeanor warrant
Christopher Moreno, 24, of Menifee – felony warrant
Loueenia Skjelstad, 46, of Menifee – felony warrant
Robert Leonard Travis, 23, of Menifee – possession of stolen property
Bryan Scott Underwood, 28, of Menifee – possession of stolen property
Alisa Warmboe, 27, of Menifee – violation of probation
Mark Scott Williams, 39, of Perris – felony warrant
Michael Yancey, 59, of Menifee – felony warrant
In addition, five other adults were arrested and cited for misdemeanor drug charges, then released with a notice to appear in court.

According to the spokesperson, most of the arrests were the result of "law enforcement personnel conducting consensual encounters with patrons." No other details of the encounters with those arrested was given and the location of businesses patrolled was not released.
