Man arrested at Menifee bus stop for sexual battery

Sheriff's deputies arrested a Riverside man at an RTA bus stop in Menifee in response to reports that he inappropriately touched several female passengers during a bus ride from Riverside to Menifee.

Michael Douglas Avery, 46, was contacted at a bus stop near the intersection of Sun City Boulevard and McCall Boulevard at 3:50 p.m. Nov. 10, according to a news release. He was booked at the Cois Byrd Detention Center for several counts of sexual battery, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and violation of parole.
