Three-vehicle accident shuts down Scott Road

Two people were transported with injuries and Scott Road was closed for several hours Tuesday night after a three-vehicle collision, officials said today.

The accident occurred about 6:30 p.m. at Scott Road and Ascot Way, said Deputy Mike Vasquez of the Sheriff's Department. A sedan, pickup truck and semi-trailer truck were involved. Vasquez did not have details on the severity of the injuries.

A Hazmat unit was called out because of a fluid spill and the road was closed to traffic during the cleanup.
