Santa Rosa Academy’s annual Freedom Run will take place Sept. 16. There will be many activities that people of all age groups can participate in. This event is free to the public.
The main event begins at 8:30 a.m. with a 5k and 3k tie-dye run. The 3k family run begins at 10 a.m. Joggers will receive a free shirt to be tie-dyed at the event. All of the proceeds will be donated to Santa Rosa’s sports teams and to the cost of the event. To register for these, go to www.sra.mn.
A car show, chili cook-off and vendor fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be over 40 vendors with many free giveaways, games and prizes.
There will also be many educational activities for kids, including a living tide pool where the children can touch and interact with sea creatures, Home Depot workshops, an Army Humvee and Highway Patrol squad car for kids to climb through, Engineering workshops, California Fire “hands only” CPR classes and much more. Jumper bracelets can be purchased for $10 as well.
