Santa Rosa Academy’s football team won on Friday night, scoring a 35-0 victory against Hamilton High School at Heritage High.
In the first quarter, Andrew Snyder, quarterback and wide receiver, took the ball to the 1-yard line, just short of the end zone. Running back Kaden Long then scored SRA’s first touchdown of the game, following with a PAT by Mateo Rodriguez, resulting in a 7-0 lead.
In the second quarter of the game, Snyder scored a touchdown, following with a two-point conversion by Jack Donaldson. Later, linebacker Marcello Petteway recovered a fumble from Hamilton. Snyder then completed the pass to Long, who once again scored SRA’s third touchdown of the game. Rodriguez then made the PAT once again, resulting in a 22-0 lead by halftime.
In the third quarter, Snyder threw the ball to wide receiver Bruno Elizondo, who scored the touchdown for SRA. Rodriguez made the PAT once again, resulting in a 29-0 lead. In the fourth and final quarter, tight end Lance Burden made the final touchdown of the game, for a final score of 35-0.
Throughout the game, there were many outstanding players, such as Connor Dougherty, Ben Graves, Markel Chebat, Ryan Ramos, Tucker Shaw, Nic Paradiang, and Jacob Munstock, who all made tackles, along with the other players mentioned above.
