Chance Nolan passed for four touchdowns and Paloma Valley High School held on for a 35-30 victory over Valley View of Moreno Valley in a wild nonleague football game Friday night.
Paloma Valley broke a 21-21 tie with a rushing touchdown early in the third quarter and held on for the victory, evening its season record at 1-1.
The Wildcats had a 14-0 lead early in the second quarter before giving up two scores for a 14-14 halftime score. Valley View scored on its opening drive of the third quarter but Paloma Valley tied it once again, 21-21. Once the Wildcats regained they lead, they didn't give it up.
The victory was the first for Paloma Valley under head coach Tom Tello, who was an assistant coach at Heritage High last season. Next Friday, the Wildcats are at home against ML King.
