Menifee man dies in traffic accident on Domenigoni Parkway

A Menifee man died in a two-vehicle collision near the intersection of Domenigoni Parkway and Sanderson Avenue in Hemet Thursday night, police said.

The County Coroner's Office identified the victim as Jose Manahan, 51. According to a report from the Hemet Police Department, the victim was driving a 2014 Toyota Prius when his vehicle was struck by the driver of a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado truck in the westbound lanes of Domenigoni Parkway about 7 p.m.. Manahan was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Evidence at the scene indicated alcohol may have been a factor in the accident, police said. The investigation is ongoing. The westbound lanes of Domenigoni Parkway were closed between Searl Parkway and Warren Road for about six hours Thursday night.
