Lions Club-sponsored youth club to hold installation

The Leo Club, a new youth organization sponsored by the Menifee Valley Lions Club, will hold its first installation ceremony Oct. 5.

The club has openings for Leos (ages 11-21) and Cubs (under 11). Chapters of the club will be created in the community and in local schools. Meetings will be held Thursdays at 6 p.m.

Leos will perform charity work and community service, similar to the service provided by Lions Club members. Initial members of the group recently donated to City of Hope and worked with the Menifee Youth Advisory Committee over the summer. They also cooked meals for shut-ins in the community.
