Heritage adds another victory with a win at Oak Hills

Heritage High School trailed only once in Friday night's game, 3-0, before grinding out a 20-10 football victory over Oak Hills High School in Hesperia Friday night.

The Patriots improved their nonleague record to 2-0 heading into next Friday's home opener against Corona. In their first two games, the Patriots have outscored the opposition, 62-10.

Quarterback Devan Freedland passed 8 yards to Rashoud Shelton early in the second quarter to put Heritage ahead for good, 6-3. The Patriots made it 13-3 on a 27-yard run by James Phillips and PAT before halftime.

A 4-yard run by Jesse Estrada in the third quarter gave Heritage a 20-3 lead before Oak Hills scored its only touchdown on a 2-yard run by Marshawn Buchanan with 3:33 remaining.
