Harvest Hill principal pays off with mohawk haircut

Brian Martes, principal at Harvest Hill STEAM Academy in the Menifee Union School District, made good on a promise Friday by getting a mohawk haircut after the school's PTA topped 300 members.

Martes had pledged to "Rock the Hawk" when the PTA hit that marker. So when it happened, and during a morning assembly at the school, students and staff cheered as Martes' head was stylishly shaved. That look will be featured in the school's yearbook this year because the school picture day is next week.

Harvest Hill STEAM Academy, in just its second year of existence, is located in Winchester but is the southernmost school in the MUSD.
