Fire damages mobile home, vehicles on Leon Road

Fire damaged a double-wide mobile home and several vehicles and burned some surrounding brush Thursday before firefighters contained it a short time later, authorities said.

The fire was reported at 5:24 p.m. in the 33200 block of Leon Road, just south of Scott Road. Seven engine companies with 33 firefighters contained the fire by 6:16 p.m. No injuries were reported.

Black smoke from the fire could be seen for miles and was reported by several motorists near Scott Road and the 215 Freeway. No other details were available Thursday night.
