Three units caught fire and 24 units suffered smoke damage in a fire at a storage facility in Menifee early Friday morning, fire officials said.

The fire was reported at 4:04 a.m. at a storage facility in the 27000 block of Newport Road. The first arriving firefighters reported smoke coming from 10 storage units. By the time the fire was contained about 5:15 a.m., the damage had spread to 24 units and had caused an estimated $20,000 damage.

No injuries were reported.
