Lt. Greg Fellows, a 21-year veteran of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, has been promoted by Sheriff Stan Sniff to Captain and will command the Perris Station, including the duties of Menifee police chief.
Fellows (left) replaces Brandon Ford, who was recently promoted to Chief Deputy. Fellows will also be responsible for police protection in Perris and Canyon Lake, which also contract with the Sheriff’s Department for law enforcement.
“We are pleased and proud to have Captain Fellows return to Menifee as our new Chief of Police,” said interim City Manager Ron Bradley of the City of Menifee. “The Menifee City Council is delighted to have a seasoned police chief with the talent and ability Captain Fellows has displayed throughout his law enforcement career.”
Following his promotion to Lieutenant in May 2015, Fellows was assigned to the Perris Station and served as assistant chief of police in Menifee. He was responsible for developing a $12 million police services budget, crime prevention programs and a volunteer service organization.
For the past three months, Fellows had been assigned to the Hemet Sheriff’s Station to supervise patrol operations, the investigations bureau and the School Resource Officer program.
Welcome Captain Fellows.
