The directors of Santa Rosa Academy, Laura and Ted Badillo, have organized a donation drive for the people in Texas who were affected by Hurricane Harvey. They will be collecting donations today and Thursday at the front of the school and in the front office from 6:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
On Friday, the Badillos will drive down to Texas to deliver the donations and will be documenting their journey on the Santa Rosa Academy Facebook Page. Residents are urged to come by and donate what they can. The school is located at 27587 La Piedra Road.
This is a list of items that will be very helpful, but please, no clothes donations:

Desperate needs:
Baby food
Baby formula
Diapers
Wipes
Toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, shampoo, soap, feminine supplies)
Granola/protein bars
Juice boxes

Band aids, first aid items in a small first aid kit
Comfort items requested:
Combs, brushes
Coloring books
Crayons
Small toys
Baby rattles
Gum
Candy
Mexican candy (a lot of Hispanic people in the area)
Clean-up supplies:

Claw and crow bars to remove nails
Donations are being dropped off in front of Santa Rosa Academy for the next two days. |
