Auditions Aug. 15 for MSJC jazz ensemble, concert band

Mt. San Jacinto College will hold auditions for performers in its Music Department on Aug. 15.

Auditions for the Menifee Jazz Ensemble will be held at 7 p.m. in 204 of the Menifee Valley Campus, 28237 La Piedra Road. This is an open audition for musicians with experience on trumpet, trombone, saxophone, guitar, piano, bass, drums or percussion. A drum set and bass amp will be provided. The Menifee Jazz Ensemble performs multiple concerts every semester, both on campus and in the community.

Auditions for the MSJC Community Concert Band will be held at 7 p.m. in room 1602 on the San Jacinto Campus, 1499 N. State St. The Concert Band is open to all wind and percussion musicians who play at high school level or higher. The ensemble rehearses every Tuesday at 7 p.m.
