Two occupants displaced by residential fire in Menifee

Two adult males were displaced by a fire that damaged a residence in Menifee late Tuesday night, fire officials reported.

The American Red Cross has been called in to assist the occupants of the home in the 26000 block of Spaniel Lane. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the garage and bedrooms of the home.

The fire was reported at 10 p.m. Six engine crews with 28 firefighters responded and some were scheduled to remain for up to three hours for mop-up duties, according to a news release.
