Suspect sought in theft at local auto dealership

The owner of R&R Auto Group, the only car dealership in Menifee, is asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect and vehicle in an auto theft at his business Friday night.

Jon Ranes told Menifee 24/7 that the man pictured above stole a 2004 Ford F-250 silver lifted truck (shown above right) from the business, located in the 26700 block of Encanto Drive, on the east side of the 215 Freeway. Security video shows the suspect, believed to be about 5-foot-8 and 140 pounds, walking the grounds, breaking into the truck, crashing through a gate and driving south on Encanto.

According to Ranes, the man has a distinct hunchback walk. Ranes said organized crime targets 1997-2007 Ford F-250 trucks because they don't have chipped keys, making them easy to steal. The license plate of the stolen vehicle is 8MZ1694.
