Firefighters contain Winchester wildfire to 20 acres

Firefighters had stopped the progress of a wildfire at 20 acres Thursday afternoon in an area south of Diamond Valley Lake in Winchester, fire officials said.

The fire was reported at 10:28 a.m. near Fields Drive and Patterson Avenue, east of the intersection of Winchester Road and Washington Avenue. Four fire crews, one helicopter and two tankers were on scene.
