NFL Hall of Famer Reed to appear in Menifee Saturday

NFL Hall of Famer Andre Reed will be in Menifee on Saturday, greeting the public as part of a promotion for the Walgreens "Red Nose" campaign, which ends that day.

The Red Nose campaign, which was highlighted by Red Nose Day on May 25, raises money to help feed, provide medical services and help provide shelter for children. According to the campaign website, over $60 million has been raised since 2015. Customers who purchase a Red Nose or Red Nose products (pens, wrist bands, etc.) will be contributing to this cause.

According to Menifee Mayor Neil Winter, Reed will be at the Walgreens at 27975 Bradley Road (cross street McCall Boulevard) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. Reed spent 16 seasons in the NFL as a wide receiver, including 15 with the Buffalo Bills (1985-99). He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2014.

The public is invited to come out and meet Reed at this event and contribute to the Red Nose campaign.
