Driver suffers minor injuries in rollover crash on Murrieta Rd

One person received minor injuries and a portion of Murrieta Road was shut down for several hours Tuesday following a vehicle rollover accident in Menifee, police said.

Sheriff's deputies responded about 10:30 a.m. to the intersection of Murrieta Road and Lazy Creek Road, just south of Pete Peterson Park, said Deputy Mike Vasquez. They found a silver sedan resting on its roof. The male adult driver was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. A second vehicle was damaged in the collision and that driver was not injured. The drivers were not named in the news release.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
