Alcohol is cause of single-vehicle accident, police say

A Menifee man was treated for non-life threatening injuries and was booked for DUI Monday following a single-vehicle accident on Scott Road.

Wayne Kelly, 67, was impaired by alcohol when he drove his vehicle off the road and into a field near Buckwheat Road at 7:58 a.m., authorities said. The investigation showed that Kelly might have been impaired by a  prescription medication as well.

No road closures were necessary.
