A Menifee woman accused of causing more than $200,000 in damage to glass windows and storefronts in Countryside Marketplace was sentenced today to five years in custody on 18 criminal counts, including vandalism, trespassing and resisting a peace officer.
Alexandrea Jensen, 29, appeared at the Southwest Justice Center in Murrieta, where she pleaded guilty to all counts, including 10 felony counts of vandalism and maliciously defacing property. She had been held in lieu of $100,000 bail at the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside.
Jensen will serve three years of that sentence in county jail and then two years out of custody under mandatory supervision, according to John Hall, spokesman for the Riverside County District Attorney's Office.
Sheriff's deputies arrested Jensen May 6 when she was located after they developed evidence linking her vehicle to a description of the vehicle used in the crimes May 4, according to a news release. The investigation began after police received several calls about 4:20 a.m. that morning of broken windows and glass entrance doors at the shopping center, located at Haun Road and Newport Road.
As the investigation continued, detectives discovered more retail stores in Menifee shopping districts were damaged and these were linked to Jensen as well.
