For the second day in a row, a motorist was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic collision in Menifee.
Brittany Winder, 21, of Murrieta was booked on a DUI charge at Southwest Detention Center after an investigation showed her white Ford Fiesta swerved and collided with the center divider while traveling eastbound in the 27000 block of Newport Road at 1:43 a.m. today. No other vehicles were involved.
That section of Newport Road is a construction zone while crews complete a widening project and build a raised center median.
On Wednesday, a Menifee woman was arrested on a DUI charge after crashing her vehicle through a back yard and into the back of a house in the Sun City community.
