Joining school districts throughout Riverside County, the Menifee Union School District sent two gift baskets to teachers at North Park Elementary School, site of the fatal shooting of a teacher and student April 10 in San Bernardino.
Riverside County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Judy White asked schools in the district to consider sending gift baskets to teachers at the school. On May 2, White and staff members delivered more than 50 baskets filled with supportive contents to staff members still recovering from the tragedy.
Baskets included gift cards to movies, spas, department stores and restaurants, in addition to handmade blankets and school supplies. Each staff member at the school was able to choose a unique basket representing districts from around the county.
The Menifee Union School District received donations from Target for the two baskets included in the delivery.
