The public is invited to the football stadium at Paloma Valley High School Saturday to support the teams of volunteers who will walk the track and earn donations to fight cancer in Relay for Life Menifee.
The event will begin at 9 a.m. After the opening ceremony, a Survivors Lap will include walkers who have survived cancer, followed by a Caregivers Lap. Various activities will continue throughout the day and through the evening,
including a Luminaria ceremony at 9 p.m., with lighted bags paying tribute to those lost to cancer. A closing ceremony will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Volunteers organized in teams have been collecting pledges and donations in recent weeks in preparation for this event. Donations help fund cancer research and treatment.
