The ASB Director at Paloma Valley High School has been placed on administrative leave pending unspecified allegations and an investigation being conducted by the Sheriff's Department, according to a school district official.
Candace Reines, assistant superintendent of the Perris Union High School District, confirmed Monday morning that Will Wilson was placed on administrative leave pending the investigation. Wilson was in charge of Associated Student Body programs, including all clubs on campus.
Reines said this incident is not connected to two other recent investigations involving coaches in the school's athletic department. She had no other comment.
Head football and track coach Bert Esposito was relieved of his coaching duties Thursday following an investigation conducted by district officials. Reines cited confidentiality policies in declining to state the nature of that investigation, other than to say "there was no misconduct of a sexual or physical nature." Esposito remains a teacher in good standing and was not charged with any offense. He told Menifee 24/7 he was not given a reason for his dismissal from the coaching positions.
Prior to that, head basketball coach Michael Pfeiffer was the subject of an investigation into complaints by parents and players of verbal and physical abuse, according to district officials. Reines confirmed last week that Pfeiffer has been removed from his coaching position but remains athletic director at the school.
The Sheriff's Department did not immediately respond to messages seeking details of the investigation.
