Canyon Lake man faces attempted murder charge

A Canyon Lake man faces a charge of attempted murder after he was arrested following a search of his residence as part of an ongoing investigation, authorities said.

David Harry, 44, was arrested without incident at his home in the 28000 block of Yosemite Place on Friday after detectives served a search warrant as part of an investigation of arson and attempted murder, according to a Sheriff's Department news release. The original incident took place April 8 about 8:20 p.m. in the 22000 block of Giant Fir in Canyon Lake.

Detectives seized several firearms and a cache of ammunition. Additional firearms registered to the suspect were seized at an address in the city of Placentia.

Harry was booked into the Southwest Detention Center without bail. No other details about the original incident were released.
