Three local Boy Scouts earn Eagle Scout award

Three local Boy Scouts received their Eagle Scout awards during a Court of Honor held March 29 in Menifee.

Tyler Hansen, Ethan Facey and Spencer Hyde were awarded scouting's highest honor in a ceremony at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on La Piedra Road. In addition to scouting officials, on hand to honor the scouts were Heather Perry, representing Sen. Mike Morrell's office; Ben Webb, representing Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez's office; and Menifee City Council members Lesa Sobek and Greg August (below, with Tyler Hansen).

To earn their Eagle Scout award, scouts must complete a number of accomplishments, complete a special project and pass an interview process.
