Menifee 24/7 is pleased to honor top athletes from Paloma Valley High School, as nominated by their coaches. Here are the Athletes of the Week for the weeks of March 6 and March 13:
Singles player Rylie Ibison won four of his six matches against Vista Murrieta and Murrieta Valley early in the season for the boys tennis team.
The tennis doubles team of Caleb Yuan and Jeremy Deleon came back from an 0-3 deficit in their first set against Tahquitz to win 18 straight games the rest of the way.
Kevin Moscoso started the season hitting .500 with 4 RBIs for the baseball team in its first three games.
Pitcher Chase Swenson pitched a no-hitter against Victor Valley High on March 8. He struck out 5 in a 3-0 victory.
Volleyball player Michael Orzech had a strong week last week, registering 18 kills, 7 digs, and 7 aces for the Wildcats.
Swimmer Shane Robbins had a great day at the Elsinore Invitational on March 11, setting school records in placing third in the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle. Both were CIF qualifying marks. He also anchored the 400 freestyle relay team to a school record.
Tristan Sylva posted top performances in relay races for the boys track team at the Saddle-Up and Wildcat Relays.
These athletes will be eligible for the March Athlete of the Month award.
