Heritage High Athletes of the Week: March 20, 27

Menifee 24/7 is pleased to honor top athletes from Heritage High School, as nominated by their coaches. Here are the Athletes of the Week for the weeks of March 20 and March 27:

Tennis player Robert Papson won 4 of 6 sets in the No. 2 singles position to earn honors for the week of March 20. His sweep of West Valley singles players was the difference in the team's 10-8 victory, said coach Doug Fairchild.

Softball player Janae Hernandez was honored for her strong defensive play as a center fielder and her reliability as a power hitter.

Liya Houston (left) excels in sprints and relay races for the girls track team. She ran a 13.50 in the 100 recently. Chris Briseno ran a personal best in the 800.

These athletes are eligible for the March Athlete of the Month award.
