Quail Valley teacher Richards named Citizen of Month

Quail Valley Elementary School teacher Ginamarie Richards was honored by the Menifee City Council as Outstanding Citizen of the Month at the Feb. 15 council meeting.

Richards was introduced by Dr. Steve Kennedy, superintendent of the Menifee Union School District. She was then given a certificate from Mayor Neil Winter and the council members in appreciation of her service to the students of Menifee and to the community.

"Among all her other contributions, Ginamarie is a staunch believe in anti-bullying education," Kennedy said. "She weaves that into her teaching."

Richards is a fifth grade teacher at Quail Valley Elementary. She is instrumental in putting on Colonial Days at the school, teaching the students about history. She plays an important part in linking the school with the surrounding community.
