A total of 42 drivers were cited for failing to yield during a pedestrian safety enforcement operation conducted Thursday morning in Menifee, according to a Sheriff's Department news release.

Officers from the Sheriff's Department assigned to Menifee conducted a safety operation at crosswalk locations where previous complaints had been received and where collisions have occurred. In observing driver behavior from 7-11 a.m., deputies cited one driver for driving without a license in addition to the drivers cited for failing to yield the right of way to pedestrians.
