In response to the great reception our new monthly newspaper has received, Menifee 24/7 has increased the press run and is now delivering the paper to selected neighborhoods throughout town.
The February edition provides the type of in-depth, hard news reporting our readers have been asking for in hard-copy form, both for those who don't have easy Internet access to our website or those who are looking for our additional reporting on city issues.
Here are just some of the stories in the February issue, now available for free at more than 100 businesses in town and through home delivery and by mail for a small subscription fee:
-- Our exclusive reporting on a newly formed group of Sun City business professionals who are networking to improve the business environment of Cherry Hills Plaza.
-- An update on the City of Menifee's ongoing attempt to take control of east-side parks from Valley-Wide Recreation and Park District.
-- Announcement that the Audie Murphy Ranch Skate Park will re-open March 1.
-- A look at the new Archibald's Drive-Thru, scheduled to be open in mid-March at Newport Road and Menifee Road.
-- Our monthly profile of some of Menifee's founding families, courtesy of the Menifee Valley Historical Association.
-- Our exclusive reporting on the joint ownership of Golf and Art Club and North Golf Course, a new ownership agreement that has re-opened North Course and once again gives more options to golfers in the Sun City core area.
-- The latest on arrests of mail thieves in the area.
-- Stories and photos on Paloma Valley and Heritage High School athletes who signed letters of intent to accept college scholarships.
-- High school winter sports updates, featuring the photography of Kristi Jo Aguirre of kristijophotography.com.
