Heritage High School Athletes of the Week: Feb. 4

Each week, Menifee 24/7 honors top student-athletes at Heritage High School. The coach of each varsity sport is allowed to select one athlete based on the previous week's performances or on potential shown by the athlete. Here are this week's honorees from Heritage High School:

Eric Serrano has been a key player for the boys soccer team this season. "Eric is an outstanding sweeper and a great defender," said his coach, Timothy Poseley. "He is intelligent with his movements and plays on the pitch and does a great job controlling the defense."

Alexander Smallbrock and Emily Sandoval were honored for their accomplishments for the wrestling team.

Girls water polo is still a relatively new sport at Heritage, but Brittany van de Vrugt has made her mark with consistent play.
