Heritage High School Athletes of the Week: Feb. 21

This is the final week Menifee 24/7 will honor Athletes of the Week from winter sports teams at Heritage High School. Here are the Patriots' Athletes of the Week from the last two weeks:

Starting defender Danny Pittman of the boys soccer team had to sit out until league matches started but excelled in the league season, said coach Timothy Poseley. "Danny did great in stepping up and letting his presence be known on the field," Poseley said. "He is also an outstanding young man off the field."

Brittany Van de Vrugt finished the season as one of the top players on the girls water polo team.

The wrestling team was well represented in league matches by Ricky Benitez and Daisy Resendiz.

Menifee 24/7 congratulates all the Athletes of the Week from Heritage High winter sports teams this season. We will begin honoring spring sports athletes the week of March 6.
